International Skills & Safety Program

An industry-aligned program that prepares skilled tradespeople for the international construction sector — focusing on practical skills, safety standards and basic Japanese language skills required for projects under Japan’s SSW and other mobility frameworks.

Target Audience

ITI / Diploma in civil / construction trades, welders, masons, electricians, plumbers.
Semi-qualified workers wanting overseas contractual work.

Objectives

Build trade competence to international standards.
Impart site safety, scaffold & equipment handling consistent with Japanese worksite norms.
Enable basic Japanese communication relevant to construction worksites.

Duration

6 – 9 months (full-time). Short modules
(3 months) for single-trade upgrading are available.

Indicative Fee

₹60,000 – ₹180,000 depending on trade,
practical hours and certification inclusions.

JLPT basics (N5–N4), trade-specific vocabulary.

Carpentry, masonry, reinforcement, formwork, masonry, finishing trades..

PPE, fall protection, scaffolding safety, first aid.

Operation of common machinery and site tools.

Teamwork, reporting, Japanese site culture & punctuality.

Live project simulation, quality checks.

Certification & Pathways

Preparation for SSW domain tests (construction fields).

Short foundational modules exist, but most employers prefer candidates with prior vocational training (ITI/diploma).

Basic tools and PPE are provided during training; candidates are briefed on what to bring for advanced practical sessions.
